We are hosting Speed Networking at QEH on 20th March.
We are still looking for volunteers, so we would love to hear from you if you would be available to donate your time.
The “networking” part of the Fair is just for year 12, who will come in in two groups over the course of 1.5 hours (i.e. 45 minutes for each). You would be sat with 4-5 empty chairs around you, and students will sit with you for 5 minutes before moving on to someone else. So within the time each student will see between 7 and 8 professionals.
We are trying to give students the opportunity to:
- Hear from as diverse a range of professions and experiences
- Ask questions
- Learn a little but more about individual career paths / choices then they would at a standard careers fayre marketplace.
Concurrently with the speed networking we will be hosting a “marketplace”, with students circulating between stalls in more of a “free flow” format. If you feel this would work better for you, or if you would like to come to the speed networking but think your organisation more broadly would like representation at the fayre, then of course we can arrange that too.
