Roger was the Head Boy at QEH. He also progressed to be the Flight Sergeant of 1495 ATC Sqn.
After London University, Roger spent a short time as a school teacher before becoming a commissioned officer in the Education Branch of the Royal Air Force.
Roger met his partner Sonia in 1981 when they were both serving at RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus.
