Nick Beake has just returned from Ukraine where he was reporting on the ongoing devastating effects of the Russian invasion.
As the BBC's Europe Correspondent, Nick has been based in Kyiv. His brave reporting has enabled us to hear the voices of Ukrainians hiding in metro stations from bombs, and magnify the unity of Ukraine's civilians taking up arms and creating makeshift roadblocks to protect their city and loved ones.
Nick is now safely back in Belgium where he works reporting on Europe's politics, climate change, migration, sport, culture, and breaking news.
His other recent stories include;
Hong Kong protests (ongoing)
Rohingya crisis (ongoing)
Aung San Suu Kyi at the Hague (December 2019)
Sri Lanka terror attacks (March 2019)
Indonesia earthquake (September 2018)
Thai cave boys rescue (July 2018)
Trump Kim summits (2018 & 2019)
