To complete the musical agenda at Yannick Underwood’s and Nikita’s wedding, Director of Music at QEH Mr E Gent took to the challenge of forming a QEH OEs band.
Mr Gent has kept in contact with many OEs and knew a number of professional musicians and just talented musicians who have kept playing alongside their careers, so he knew just whom to ask.
The OE band consisted of;
Ed Wren, a music student at Cambridge
Rob Grist, a music student at Brighton and now a professional musician working in the local area
Jack O’Dea, a talented guitar player
Rowan Wood, a Durham geography student heavily involved in the music scene there.
Each band member began their musical journey in the QEH Jazz band where they built up a passion for performing in various school concerts. It’s fantastic to see OEs getting back together to perform and do what they love.
Many congratulations to the newlyweds, Yannick Underwood and Nikita.
