Jakob Harding was one of our very first Year 3 pupils when the Junior School opened its doors in September 2007. He left QEH in 2018 and is one of QEH’s very first ‘lifers’. We are delighted that Jakob is currently back at QEH and is working with us as a teaching assistant and sports coach within our Junior School.
Jakob has said that;
“It is fantastic to come full circle and be back at QEH supporting the Junior School and taking a fresh batch of QEH pupils to Failand and helping them in the some of the same classrooms that I spent 9 years of my education in.
This is a temporary position, and although my main career path is to join the RAF, teaching has always been my second career choice so gaining more experience in a school setting is perfect before committing.
Being a part of the QEH Community, even after leaving school 5 years ago is one of the fantastic parts of a QEH education, you belong here for life no matter what you go on to do or wherever you go to live.”
Our alumni, whether attending an event, or just dropping by, or like Jakob coming back to teach, are a great reminder that the QEH community continues well beyond your years at school and that the friends you make here will stay with you for life.
