The 1st XV have shown pure resilience and determination this Rugby season. Despite cancellations due to weather and Covid-19 precautions, the team has excelled throughout every match, competing in the National Vase and the Daily Mail Trophy.

The young sportsmen began the season with a friendly against Exeter School and won at home with a score of 24-6. This was an excellent boost for their next game which was the National Vase Round 1 against Backwell School, resulting in a triumph of 61-12.

The 1st XV were heavily challenged by Taunton School (12-15) and Bristol Grammar School (10-19) to whom they lost against, but the boys showed a continuation of fantastic effort and pursued to play superb rugby leading to the close results.

After one more loss, and another draw, the 1st XV only got better and went on to win the rest of their five games including an impressive win against Kingswood (45-7), and friendly win against Prior Park College (47-0).

They saved their best game till last which made an outstanding end to the season. Overall they won eight of their thirteen games this season.
