Mrs Hazell is currently a fundraising consultant. She has 16 years of senior leadership fundraising and has spent most of her career in the charitable sector raising funds for disadvantaged young people.
Reflecting on her appointment, Michelle said “I’m enormously excited to be appointed and I am looking forward to building upon my predecessors’ great work. I can’t wait to hit the ground running when I start in August and continue to grow the QEH and Old Elizabethan community.”
Rupert Heathcote, Head of QEH has said, “Michelle’s ethos and determination is very in keeping with our school values and fulfils our school motto, ‘While we have time let us do good’. She is going to be a huge asset to the school in working towards our commitment to ensuring a QEH education is accessible to more young people in Bristol.”
Michelle is married to an Old Elizabethan so has strong family links with the school and the area. Outside of work she is a mother of two and enjoys yoga and walking the dog in her spare time.
She will take up this position at QEH towards the end of the summer break to settle in just before the new school year in September.
