Tony Morris

You are warmly welcomed to leave a message below, share your memories and celebrate the life of Tony Morris, who we sadly lost in 2020

Anthony Morris
19 April 1943 - 27 July 2020
At QEH: 1954-62

The following was written by OE Steve Lloyd:

Tony was in the Class of 54 intake, and a friend of mine from that time onwards. He went to Cardiff University, finishing with a PhD in metallurgy, and ran his own business in Gloucester for many years. He was always a keen sportsman, and joined the Gordon League RFC in Gloucester, first as a player and then as an administrator, for the rest of his life. Married to Jan, whom he met in Cardiff, they had two children, Gwyn and Joy, and two grand children. Jan had been ill for many years, and needed dialysis treatment regularly. Unfortunately, she died at the end of June. My wife and I attended his funeral in Gloucester, where past and present members of the Gordon League RFC formed a guard of honour. It was a moving ceremony, in these restricted times.
