OEs from the 1970s come back to school

OEs who attended QEH in the 1970s came back to reminisce on their old school days with lunch and a tour of the school.

It was wonderful to welcome so many OEs who had attended QEH in the 1970s back to their old school.

Over a pie and mash lunch, OEs reminisced over their time here including sharing memories of the teachers they were taught by and the lessons they shared... as well as some of the many ways in which they would sneak out of school whilst they were boarders!

A tour unlocked further memories and OEs were impressed by the many changes that have happened within the school over the years. One change of particular note was that many OEs were impressed by the conversion of their old washroom which has since undertaken a transformation to become our fabulous sixth form centre.

During the explorations, OEs of course wanted to settle some house rivalry in the School Room by looking at the boards displaying their house's results. They also showed their house pride over successes in the years since.

It was a fantastic day and great to see so many OEs share a fondness for their old school days, thank you to everyone who attended.

An additional thank you to Paul Cox for sharing your photos from the day.
